Frustrated with School Thread
 

This is where we can all b*itch and complain about how much we hate school. Right now I'm ready to burn down the entire campus!! I HATE GRAD SCHOOL AND FINALS!!!

Sorry had to get that out of my system.

i hate school too!!! i have 4 12 page papers(due in like 3 weeks- but still!) to write while i'm in effing london (and its GORGEOUS outside!!! i'm in the lib trying to finish another paper) - what kind of sick twisted torture is this?!!!! ahhhhhh:mad:

13 days until I'm done with school forever, but I have so much work to do right now that I'm considering running away and joining the circus... I can't deal with it!

Pressure from my family makes me feel like I HAVE to go to school and it sucks. I don't think I've ever really liked school. It doesn't help when your not sure of what you want to do. People say think of what your life will be in 10 years or whatever, and I see myself in a family being a "soccer mom". So what classes are there for that?! I know this isn't a good method, but I would rather go to school just to learn things, but not get tested on the stuff. A lot of people test anxiety and just blank and that just ruins everything. You flunk the test ==> grade drops in the class ==> GPA drops ==> might have to take the class over = more time in school ==> more money on tuition for another semester/quarter/year in school. It's like a freakin dominoe effect :mad:

um i hate school.... but i know i have to do well... and blah! :mad:

I generally dislike school right now...

... my only "guiding light" so to say, is the fact that I have .... one.... semester.... left.

I'm in the middle of the last paper I'll ever have to write, which should be a good thing, but it's making me crazy! Besides the fact that I can't concentrate because I'm still really mad that my roommate is a slob, I just generally have no idea how I'm going to fill 10 pages on this stuff. It's due tonight -- I have 2. I know I'll figure something out eventually, but it's so frustrating!!

OK, I'm going to take this opportunity to complain. :p Let me ask you all something--how in the heck is a 19-year-old supposed to know what she/he wants to do with the rest of her/his life? So I picked a weird major the first time. Fine. I want to go into teaching now, but the faculty at my new school look at me like I have horns and a tail, and I know they're thinking, "YOU want to go into EDUCATION?" I get so tired of explaining my "situation" to every Tom, Dick, and Harry they send me off to. Can they not just ignore the fact that I already have a degree and treat me like a regular transfer student? Everyone I talk to is like, "OK, cool, so you want to be a French teacher...buuuut why do you have this fashion degree?" What's the big deal? Why can't anyone just sit me down and say, "Look, here are the classes you need to get certified. Take them, and get certified"? No, we have to go through this song and dance with every single person in the Education department. I'm classified as a grad student, but I'm taking undergrad classes. That is not hard to understand. I just don't see why this has to be such a big production. :mad:

I love my school, I really do, but sometimes this place seriously just PISSES ME OFF!!! :mad:

Our admin. sucks and tuition keeps rising every year, I have 3 semesters left once this one is over and I don't think I am going to make it. :(

And our stupid rec center has been under construction for like 10 thousand years now and I AM SO SICK OF IT, can it please just be freakin' DONE!!! By the time all the new stuff is there I will have probably graduated so really I don't care how exciting this time is b/c everything will be so fun and new and pretty. But even though I'll never use the place, I'm still paying for the remodeling. WTF. :mad:

I see campus tours all over the place and I just want to run up to these kids and shake them and tell them to run far far away.

no. I was to lazy to write an essay, so I never applied to any UC's (throw in the fact I was too dumb in HS).

I go to Cal Poly. Not, no "CAL POLY". but the "other" cal poly.

as for your comment Faby Spice. Your situation sounds similar to mine. And often time I wanna scream, " dont go to this school. its just a big JC!"

....but then I figure, shiet...no one else told me...so no one is gonna tell them either. IF I SUFFER...THESE CHUMP KIDS ARE GONNA SUFFER TOO!!!!

midterms are about to start and I haven't touched a single book or tried sorting out my notes!!!!

Since we're on a quarter system things just go by so much faster!!!! On top of that I have work and sorority!!!! YIKES!!!

....i'll pull through....hopefully! :)
