DSW Shoe Warehouse
Anyone shopped there? Is it worth checking out?
|
yes and yes :)
ask amycat..she is a huge DSW supporter :) |
Definately worth checking out!
I've found shoes there to wear to weddings and things that you only wear a few times, and gotten great prices!! I always hit the clearance racks first. And they have a pretty good selection for larger sizes, which is important for those who have bigger feet. Usually when you go to clearance racks, especially, there are very few options in a 9-10 - at least in CUTE 9-10's!! I've been pleased with DSWs selection. It's a good thing it's 25 minutes out of my way!!! Allison |

I have size 10 feet to and seriously I've gotten some good deals at DSW. My most recent purchase was a pair of Via Spiga mules. So cute for work or going out! They were like 45 dollars and the regular price was 200! Whoo hoo! They also have really high end shoes for pretty cheap and normal shoes for REALLY cheap, especially in the clearance area!

DSW is the only place I shop for shoes!
|
I've got size 11 1/2-12 feet, and I have a hard time finding shoes at DSW. (Heck, I have a hard time finding shoes anywhere...) It does look like they have a cute selection of shoes for slightly smaller big feet, though.

OMG yes you MUST check out DSW. If you need a personal tourguide, feel free to PM me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that place. I've gotten fabulous deals in the clearance, and great deals in regular shoes.
I see a road trip to Pittsburgh for some shoe shopping in Tracy's future :D |
I like it OK. Most of the shoes they have aren't really that different in price. Some are, but if you really go and check the prices...there isn't much difference--at least not the one here. They have a pretty good selection though. I bought some cute Stuart Weitzman's there once that were like 40% off. So yeah you can find stuff there.

Depends on which one you go to
Out here in California, I find the DSWs kind of a mixed bag. The one in Sherman Oaks, right off the 101/405 confluence, has neat designer shoes. Anne Klein, Kate Spade, Calvin Klein, once in a while Prada and such. But they're not terribly cheap.
Having said that, I've had pretty good luck at DSWs. Bought a pair of Michael Kors gold sandals for $20, a pair of Coach purple satin and black leather thongs for $20 and Isaac (the bridge, not Target) Mizrahi kitten-heel slides for $36. :) |
Oh, I like it a lot!! You have to keep checking every now and then because they get in new things all the time. My only gripe is that they do not usually have a lot of wide width shoes and I have little fat feet!!;)

The DSW by me is hit or miss. But it's fun to go look for hits

I live for DSW i swear i put emalda marcos to shame with the amt of shoes i have in my closet
|
I live right across the street from one. When I say across the street, I mean I can sit in my living room and practically look down your throat! Friends always park in my driveway if they can't find a parking spot over there.
Surprisedly enough, I don't shop there much. I get more bags and sneakers than shoes from there. I prefer wide width shoes, and if I don't get over there on the days that they stock, I'm out of luck. Thankfully, I have outgrown my shoe fetish or I'd really be in trouble! |
