I searched and didn't see a previous post...
I just got back from seeing Rickey Smiley at Charlie Goodnight's(a comedy club here). He is sooooo funny!! Has anyone had the opportunity to see his act? He says he is just "keeping it real" and he does just that!
If anyone get a chance to see him...GO!!...it's worth it! I haven't laughed that hard in a while...He is stupid!

If anyone is in Raleigh area..he will be here Friday and Saturday night, also. We don't get to see our own that often here, so make sure you support them when they come!!

FYI...Johnny Witherspoon will be at Charlie Goodnight's the first week of July(I think). And Sommore is coming back to Charlie Goodnight's in August.

I really like Rickey Smiley. When he is in Nashville he comes to my church. Also he always donates money to us as well. I have a lot of respect for him as a man and a comic. When we were blessing over him in church it made me cry. So to me he is an alright dude.

hi everyone. rickey is from kingston a neighborhood in birmingham. he used to be on the radio in birmingham and used to host everyone's step show in the area. he is really funny he used to do lots of prank calls and the church bulletin all of the time. i miss hearing him every morning!

I don't know if you know...but he recorded the prank calls and sells them now. I purchased one last night after the show. In fact, I just finished listening to it a couple of minutes ago. I was almost crying!!!

dstbrat, I didn't know you were from B'ham. I am from Selma.

Rickey used to have me crackin up in the morning too. I use to get to school late sometimes trying to hear the morning show. He is so funny. Not too long ago he came up to A&M and did a show, it was hilarious.

Rickey Smiley is soo funny. His prank call CD had me cracking up. I only heard a snid-bit of it so if someone can tell me where I can purchase them from let me know.

Ricky went to high school (Woodlawn) with my cousin. So, he's around our family all the time when he's home. What you all see on the stage is NOTHIN compared to him just being himself at home. Once, we even went to the Stardome (a comedy club here) just to be supportive...and he got on us too. He spares nobody. I believe that he can seriously be certified...:D

He is sooooo funny, i love him. Did anyone see him on comicview last week? They gave him the whole hour and he was funny as hell. He was talking about how he started out going to Tuskegee and ended up at Alabama State cause he couldn't afford Tuskegee. And I learned something new about him, he is an Omega and he talked a little about that 2. I wish I could go to the show, I know it is going to be good.

He is hi-LARIOUS!!! I find myself doing Lil' Darryl impersonations for no reason. :o :D

I saw him on ComicView and I LAUGHED the whole time. We MISS ROBERT!
