Hey ladies-
I am taking a little and im struggling for some NEW ideas for stuff to get her. Does any one have any ideas? Anything that you gave your lil that she really loved? or that you recieved from your big? you can only make so many picture frame and candles

I crocheted a blanket for my little.

Or another idea is buying the iron on stuff from wal mart (or craft store) and making a tote bag, or a purse. I made a rather small tote that my little uses more like a purse, I made pink letters and outlined them in green glitter glue. She loved it :D

Or, you could get one of those little cardboard boxes from wal mart's craft dept and make her a pin box. I'm a bit on the craft side, so I got a big box and made a collage on th box that had things describing and about DZ on it.

(from a friend..) "got a chalk board from walmart...attached a string to the back, got kiddie chalk....decorated the board and then wrote "best little sis ever" on it, i got a freezer mug and pufffy paint and decorated it..."

Also.. this season there are a TON of pink and green things floating around. Look in stores like Claire's, or the Icing (jewelery shops) and I'm sure you can find some turtle items.

I found a cross stitching book with a variety of DZ-related patterns, and did one for my Big Sis. It had a pink Killarney rose with "Delta Zeta" above it. My big loved it! :)

Just FYI...on DZ DeZines, they have a cross stitching kit :D

(Just wish I could cross stitch.. :rolleyes: :p )

If I was taking a little today, besides the traditional "Andi's Li'l Sis" sweatshirt that our chapter gave, I would probably go to James Avery Craftsman & buy her a simple silver charm bracelet, and have one of their sterling silver turtle charms put on it. Then, I will always have something to give her on special occasions...a rose charm for initiation, maybe a DZ lavalier for her birthday, or if I could find a silver lamp, maybe one of those for lamplighting....

A big thing that almost all the girls in my chapter have are the turtle pj bottoms from Aeropostale. They are white with the turtles on them, flannel and oh so comfy!!!!

Yup, got those, 2 pairs of the socks, the underwear and the t-shirt!
