a thread that was closed...AKA2D 91

much respect...

moderator AKA2D91 while i do not presume to tell you when or what threads to lock. i must say that the thread that i started entitled, "a non-greeks perspective on a 5 year Freeze" was not an opportunity to "start chit".
Just as your thread in the past was hypothetical...so was mine. i appologize if this was not readily evident.
although i had hoped, considering that those who post here who are members of various organizations and the interested sisterfriends of various organizations had not actually heard of a 5 year freeze, would view it as a hypothetical discussion.
the topic came from a discussion with my mentor who is greek and a member of a BGLO. we talked about issues that have been cropping up all over the country and then discussed the hypothetical possibility of a freeze.

as you know AKA2D91 and your fellow moderators, respectively...i do not come on here to start trouble. i am here to listen, discuss, probe, and exchange ideas. nothing more nothing less.

i understand that the issues within the thread were controversial. they were challenging. but they were viable issues that could lead to interesting discussions.

thank you for your time.

peace

I think you may have misunderstood the reason behind the closure of the post. The last thing that needs to start is gossip about things based in no facts. Although your ideas to provoke discussion, it can also provoke gossip and misinformation. Please do not take it personally when a post is closed. I recognize your attention to controversial subjects through your frequent posting. However, you must understand that everyone is not going to agree or allow the things you wish to be discussed to be discused. As an SF for any organization, we all must recognize when we are out of line. These women are members of a respected organization. it is understandable that they may not want certain things to be discussed or gossip to start on the subject. Please take that into account when you make topics.

Also, addressing and directing comments towards the moderator who closed your topic is an easy way to start "chit". http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

much respect...

kitten03...no disrespect to you sista. while i understand that moderators have a job to do i am also one who feels that we are all adults and therefore i, as an adult, do not feel the need to cowtow, bow or scrape to anyone.
i wanted to clarify to AKA2D91 and her fellow moderators that unlike some women who are here to cause drama and animosity...that i was not the one.
I have much respect for all the moderators on the boards whether i agree with them or not. as we are all entitled to our opinions. But at the same time I wanted to ensure that when I do start a thread or post to one that my intention is to only, as i said above discuss, probe, and exchange ideas...nothing more nothing less.
but i do appreciate your concern.

peace

moderators do not have to explain their reasoning for closing a thread to anyone. i'm sure my soror AKA2d91 appreciates that your intentions were not to start drama, however with that said, lets move on.
