Sorority Sleep Over
One of the sisters invited all the girls for a sleep over and we also want to make it a special ceremony so they will remember it. There is no boys or alcochol allowed (as per our rules). What can we do? Any ideas??

Movies, popcorn, make-overs, create your own mocktails (have plenty of juice and soda for people to mix around), pizza. :) Have fun!

To make it special, why not do a Pass the [insert name of mascot here]. Everyone sits in a circle. Whoever is holding the mascot gets to talk and say something nice about sisterhood, an experience that has really defined her membership experience, etc. It usually ends up with a lot of laughter and tears and brings everyone really close together.
Our Pass the Lion sessions in ADPi when I was a collegian were memorable and wonderful. This isn't a ritual. Rather, it is a great tradition. Another thing to do to bond-- have some kind of craft activity. At one member retreat, we each picked a partner and were given a piece of poster board with collage materials. We each took a side and created a collage about ourselves. Then we presented it to the group, pointing out the things we'd discovered we had in common :) |
They are a little too old for that stuff aren't they lol?

Pampering is always fun. It's along the same lines as make overs...but it's more with facials and things like that. You can have some fun times with that...and funny pictures. :) There are tons of things you can do...kinda depends on how many girls you have though as well :) Have fun! Let us know how it went !

I co-sign with Siggie Jillie. We (alumnae) did that once for our actives and had a blast (one person painted everyone's fingernails, someone else did the facials, etc). Good luck and have fun!

CRAFTS!
If you have a budget, go to a craft store and buy a bunch of flower pots, paints, glitter, etc along with dirt and flower seeds. Have everyone decorate the flower pots and plant the seeds. Then explain that with time and care, the flowers will grow just like the house/sisterhood/etc. |

I'd say be sure to bring lots of chocolate. |

This is one of the reasons that I would not want to be in a coed GLO. Guys just don't get slumber parties. |
