Transfer Teke...
 

Well we just officially affiliated a TEKE from across the country into our chapter at meeting on Monday!

He's from NU MU at South Alabama...

It's so interesting to see THE BOND first hand and what an effect it has on us...

We met him during a rush event when one of our guys brought him, and two days later, he was right in the mix as we had him participate in our bid ritual...

He now lives in the house, and is one of the guys...

He talked about how even though he was thousands of miles away from home, he had 50 of his friends there to make him feel at home after just one night of exchanging the grip and getting to know him...


It's really chill to see it first hand, as well as learning about how things are done in his chapter, and him learning about how we do things... and yes, they are pretty dang different...

It's been something... He retained his original scroll number, and signed our scroll in a special case...


Anyhow, nice to have him at delta theta...

Anyone else with stories like this?

Hey, sorry to barge but this is a wonderful story! Coming from someone who moved 3000 miles away, it is great to have familiar sites and groups!

I know the guy you are talking about. My boyfriend is Nu Mu 346 alumni now. He rocks!! Probably one of my favorite pledges this past fall.

Be sure to tell him that "Redwood" and "Lara Croft" said hey and that Lara misses him!

One of my best friends Matt is an original Rho Pi Teke, he then transferred to Tau Nu chapter up in Shawnee State. I guess he's going to be reassigned a scroll number due to that he's number 202 and they are still in the early 100's. :p I believe he's much happier up there, some girl down here ruined a lot of stuff for him here, so all's well for him finally :) Plus, I hate to admit, I even like the Tau Nu's better than my Rho Pi's! Except my own 209...lol :D

We have a lot of nicknames for our new Teke... :)

Bama, Sunshine (his hair reminds us of "sunshine" from the movie Remember the Titans), Alpha-Bama, Mobile, etc...

Everyone digs the accent! Yes, the girls do too...

One thing he is known for saying has become infamous:

"MOBILE BEEATCH!!!"

LOL!!! :D

He's a funny guy... We already have him playing basketball and soccer for us... Great addition for soccer indeed... :)
