Hey~ I was just wondering if anyone knew how active of an alum Ashley Judd is? She was at the USC vs UK game and I was just wondering about it.

I'm not sure how active she is as an alum of Kappa, but she goes to a lot of UK games...I've seen her quite a few times, and I don't go to all that many. When I was going through rush several years ago, though, the Kappas liked to use the fact that she's an alum of that chapter as a big selling point. :D

I visited the UK chapter last fall and asked them the same question. They told me that as long as they had been there (the oldest girls, obviously 4 years) she had never come by the Kappa house. As far as an active alum, she's not an adviser or anything like that....

Sorry to crash.....but I have nothing but love for Ashley!!!! She too is from Ashand, and went to UK! :D

At the USC game she came and got her picture with the band and was very, very sweet!!! I know that at one of the games she was at, someone had said the first line of a Kappa cheer and she finished it really loud while signing autographs. But that's all I know. :)

I was just watching the E! True Hollywood Story on the Judds and it told about Ashley going to the University of Kentucky and joining a sorority -- then they had a picture of the Kappa house at UK and then later Ashley in a Kappa sweatshirt! :)

Sorry to crash, but I've been told that she puts a fleur-de-lis in each of her movies. I'm still searching for the one in Someone Like You though.

Sorry to crash your forum, ladies, but I just came back from seeing De-Lovely. I tried to spot the fleur-de-lis in the movie, but not being a flower expert, I wasn't sure if I saw it. There's a funeral scene in the movie where a bundle of flowers are placed above the casket. Are some of the flowers there fleur-de-lis? Thanks :)

Well, the fleur-de-lis isn't actually a tangible flower (if that makes sense -- it doesn't grow in nature)... so I don't think it could be a bouquet of flowers. :)

True, but the fleur-de-lis is most commonly represented by Kappas as Irises. So maybe she used irises?? :)

I got my hair cut today and saw a Reader's Digest at my salon. Ashley Judd was on the front, so I skimmed the article. She mentioned that she lived in the Kappa house her freshman year.

Ashley Judd's supposed to be on Jay Leno tonight. Maybe she'll talk about Kappa some more!

Got tired of searching (thought we had a "Kappa sightings" thread for our symbols), so I thought I'd post this in here since it involves Ashley Judd. I was in Goody's Dept. Store yesterday and saw that Ashley has a line of clothes now. Don't know if this was her request or if the store just coincidentally had these, but the clothes were displayed on a rack with fleurs-de-lis on top!
