Evan Bayh as Democratic Veep Nominee

It looks like Kerry has the Democratic nomination for El Presidente all locked up. Some people are now beginning to talk about Evan Bayh, US Senator from Indiana.

Lets look at his résumé:

His dad (ATW) was a US Senator, so he has a political pedigree.

He was a US Representative, when he became, at the age of 33, the youngest elected governor in US history. He served 2 four year terms.

In 1998, then Governor Bayh beat his fraternity chapter brother (Indiana Beta chapter of FKY,) Fort Wayne Mayor Paul Helmke (R) to become US Senator. This is the only instance in US history, of which I'm aware, where two fraternity brothers, from the same chapter, ran against each other for US Senate in the general election.

He currently serves on the Armed Services, Intelligence, Banking, and 3 other committees.

Most importantly, he is a Phi Psi, and we want another US President. Eventually.:D

Edwards isn't qualified, due to his inexperience. He will just be the Democratic version of Dan Quayle.

I think I mentioned this in the AKA forums a few weeks ago, but yeah, Bayh makes sense. Kerry's big problem is that the right is painting him out to be this big ol' stinkin' LIBERULLL, and Bayh is a small-d Democrat. He'll lend conservative cred to the ticket.
