If anyone would like to help me stick up for Local Sororities and Fraternities please send an e-mail of concern to the following addresses:

They are trying to kick all of the local Greek organizations off of campus. The two local Greek organizations that are left, Alpha Theta Chi Sorority and Kappa Delta Xi Fraternity, are the oldest Greek Organizations on campus. They are trying to force both organizations to affiliate with National organizations, which is never going to happen.

I would greatly appreciate anyone's help!!!

Are you at a public school? Because if so they can't compell you to do this . . ..

They can brow beat you though.

The same thing happened to the local my stepdad was in. He doesn't even know what National it affiliated with, or if his chapter just died when NPC/IFC groups came to campus. Sad. :(

Yes, it is a public university and that's the first part that I'm going to use against the school to show them that technically they can't do anything to us unless we've done something illegal.

I think it's because they want to have more control over us...yeah, kicking us off campus is getting more control over us...

I think I kind of scared them because I noticed that both organizations were added back to the UM-Flint website. :)

This is what I received from one of our Alumna who is also working on this with me, "From what limited response I have received the official line has been that we have not been "kicked off campus" but are now recognized as a Club and not as a Greek organization."

What a bunch of crap...
