If anyone would like to help me...

If anyone would like to help me stick up for Local Sororities and Fraternities please send an e-mail of concern to the following addresses:

jhogan@umflint.edu (University Relations)
khoppe@umflint.edu (Student Activities Coordinator)

They are trying to kick all of the local Greek organizations off of campus. The two local Greek organizations that are left, Alpha Theta Chi Sorority and Kappa Delta Xi Fraternity, are the oldest Greek Organizations on campus. They are trying to force both organizations to affiliate with National organizations, which is never going to happen.

I would greatly appreciate anyone's help!!!

do you need this to say anything in particular- i don't go to your school- so i don't know if you would need someone else's input- but i'm definately willing to support any greek local at any school- i love my local- and just b/c they aren't nationally recognized does not lessen their importance in teh greek community... so just let me know:)

You can say whatever you'd like. :)

I think I kind of scared them because I noticed that both organizations were added back to the UM-Flint website. :)

I'm just wondering, why is the school so insistant that these two local join a national? If these locals have been around for years (if not decades), then they must obviously be fundamental to greek life. What's the deal? I just don't get your school and I didn't even go there.

I think the problem is basically one person and I'm dealing with her. Hopefully we'll get this situation resolved soon because it is absolutely ridiculous!
