Help! Mothers Day
 

Hey! My sorority has a banquet for our moms in the spring. I'm working on decorations this year. Any ideas??? I think we are trying to do like simple and elegant kind of a thing. Thanks!

Do you mean decorations for the room in general or for the centerpieces on the tables, or both? That might help people in giving you ideas. :)

Well for ideas for the room...maybe you all could do balloons. I know a balloon arc is always nice. I really like anything with candles. For center pieces you could either do like 3 balloons per table with a nice table cloth. Or you could have each group of your sorors make a centerpiece for table. Ex. If a table seats 8 (4 sorors and 4 mothers) those 4 sorors could make a centerpiece together. The centerpiece could incorporate each mom. My mom likes roses and your mom likes puppies, so we make a centerpiece that has a little bit of everyone's style in them. If you want it to be elegant, nice table cloths with a circlular mirror in the middle is always nice. You can have the floating tea light candles in water as well. If you want it to be fun you could have tablecloths that are big sheets of paper and the centerpieces could be crayons and markers. That way each tables design could be different. You write your own phrases (I love you mom! Thanks for your support. etc.) Just some ideas. Hope they help.
