Next question is how to meet these groups? Do I wait for them to call, write...yes I sent my info to the HQ to be in the database :). And what do the stars mean? And what does the "Prec" and "Laureate" mean in the names? |
Pam,
Those terms are what BSP calls the chapter degree levels--there are 6 degree levels total. If there is no level designated, that usually means its a ROJ chapter (like Erica's chapter). ROJ is the 1st level after one completes their pledge training. There other degrees are: Exemplar(usually designated with "Xi" in front of the chapter name), Preceptor, Laureate and Master. The "Nu Phi Mu" chapters are chapters reserved for ages 18-22. You will learn more details during the pledge training period (i.e. the number of yrs at each level). The pledge period is usually 6 months but can be as short as 4 months. I hope that made sense. (Feel free to pm me.) Good Luck in your search. :D |
