Moving in with your GF

Do any of you live with the person you're dating? If you do, how long did it take you to get used to always having that person all up in your buisness 24/7? My issue is that I'm moving in may after I graduate, my GF is graduating as well. We've been talking about moving to Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale or Miami. Next January I have to live in Coral Gables and so does she. Yet, we have some time before next Jan and we were thinking about getting a place together in Orlando. Over the weekend we were watching "How to loose a guy in 10 days" and I saw how that girl put all her makeup in the guy's bathroom, along with tampax thingys and all the other crap she was doing. My question is, is that normal when you live together? And if it is, how did any of your BFs/husbands get over the initial shock? And do women actually change the entire way your apt is supposed to look?

The above user is a racist and an antisemite. Try not to encourage him by believing anything he posts. Also please do not argue with the troll as that would violate GC rules - just label as a bigot him since that would be acceptable.

I live with my fiance. I promised to him when I moved in that beyond my curling iron and various makeup products (which stay in the medicine cabinet, as does all his "guy stuff", he would never know that he shared a bathroom with a girl. (Well, besides it being much, much cleaner! ;) A year and a half later, I hold true to that. I don't want to see it, I'm sure he doesn't either. It can be done!

Back to the real topic

My boyfriend and I have been living together since December 2001 - after we had been dating for 4 months. To top it off, I was living in Daytona Beach finishing school and he was living here in Tampa. He already knew what it was like to live with a gf so our situation is a bit different. As far as having all the girly things, they go under the sink and on the right hand side - if the cross over to the left it's my ass and I know it. He hates that crap with a passion so I work really hard to keep it all in one place where he doesn't have to look at it. It's not hard to do - it's under the sink. As far as the being up each other's ass 24/7 - we are and we wouldn't have it any other way. But that's just us and we're crazy. :D If you want some more detailed advice, just ask. I'll answer anything - I have nothing to hide and no shame. :)

Re: Moving in with your GF

Why play house before you have to? Stay away from it. Living together benefits the woman more than the man anyway.

'Sides with your personality you are likely to feel stifled and suffocated.

What a fricking nightmare.
