NPC Sororities at ACC Schools
Since most of the other conferences (and my own SEC conference) have been listed, I decided to look at the ACC schools and the sororities at those schools.
The ACC schools and the number of groups are as follows: Clemson - 9 Georga Tech - 6 Duke - 9 Wake Forest - 7 UNC Chapel Hill - 9 Maryland - 14 NC State - 6 Florida State - 14 Virginia - 16 A total of 90 chapters representing 23 NPC groups are on these campuses. No group has a chapter at all 9 campuses. 8 schools have a chapter of ADPi (not at Wake Forest) 7 schools have chapters of Tri Delta (not at NC State or Georgia Tech), Chi O (not at Georgia Tech or Maryland), and Zeta (not at Wake Forest or Duke) 6 schools have chapters of Alpha Chi (not at NC State, Duke, or Wake), DG (not at Georgia Tech, Clemson, or UNC), KD (not at NC State, Duke, or Georgia Tech), and Kappa (not at NC State, Georgia Tech, or Maryland) 5 schools have chapters of Theta and Pi Phi. Theta is at Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Virginia, and Maryland. Pi Phi is at UNC, Wake, Duke, FSU, and VA. 4 schools have chapters of DZ (NC State, Wake, FSU, and VA). 3 schools have chapters of Alpha Phi (MD, VA, Duke), Gamma Phi Beta (Clemson, FSU, VA), Phi Mu (FSU, VA, Wake), and SK (NC State, MD, VA) 2 schools have chapters of AGD (Georgia Tech, FSU), AOPi (MD, Duke), and Tri Sigma (VA,UNC) These sororities are at one school each: AEPhi (MD), AZD (Georgia Tech), DPhiE (MD), Phi Sigma Sigma (MD), and Sigma Delta Tau (MD) |
Very interesting...thanks for the info!
ADPi's chapter at Wake Forest closed back in 1995 (I think)....but it's so exciting to see the representation of all NPC around the different conferences! |
University of MD has also had chapters of the following orgs that have since closed:
Alpha Gamma Delta: closed in the mid-90's I believe Alpha Xi Delta: also closed in the mid-90's Kappa Kappa Gamma: closed in the 80's-were a very strong chapter but were closed for risk management issues Pi Beta Phi: closed in the mid-late 80's Gamma Phi Beta: closed Spring of 2000 Gamma Phi was the only chapter that I saw close-and I think Chi Omega tried to colonize in the mid 90's but was unsuccessful |
AEPhi still has a chapter at Duke.
|
Phi Mu has a chapter at Georgia Tech. We had chapters at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke, but they are closed.

I wish we'd tried to colonize at NC State. I went there (then transferred to VCU) and would have loved to see them start up. Oh well..... our time will come later, and there are 3 GREAT groups that were invited to present! |
ADPi is going to be at all 9 schools soon!
|
Tri Delta is now at NCSU as well. :)
|
NC State has 8 NPC Sororities:
-Alpha Delta Pi -Chi Omega -Delta Delta Delta -Delta Gamma -Delta Zeta -Pi Beta Phi -Sigma Kappa -Zeta Tau Alpha *I do realize the original post is a couple of years old...NCSU has since added Pi Phi and Tri-Delta since then (Jimmy Choo mentioned Tri-Delta above me) |
ZTA has been added to Duke since then.

Good point! This list was made before the ACC expanded to include VA Tech, Miami and Boston College.
|
DG is not at Wake....
|
I'm working on a list of NPC sororities at the current ACC schools.
|
Virginia Tech has 13 NPC chapters.
