Georgia College and State U

I have searched but I was wanting to know if any one could tell me what (if any chapters) were at GA College and State U in the 40's?

Thanks

An informal way to check this at most schools is to go to the campus library and ask if they have copies of old yearbooks. I used a ton of old yearbooks when I was historian for my local sorority chapter, and the yearbooks occasionally had information on each chapter (national founding, local founding, charitable activities that year, etc) in addition to the chapter photograph.

Obviously, this won't work if you aren't on campus, but I'd think most campuses would at least have yearbooks in their reference stacks or in a local history archive...

different name

It has only been called GC&SU for a few years. Before that it was just called Georgia College I think. I know it was a different name, but I can't think right now what is used to be called.

Carnation-do you remember??:)

Oh yeah, the one in Milledgeville!!

Not so sure anymore, but when I was growing up, most references to Milledgeville were tongue-in-check because that's where (at least one) state mental health facility is.;)

That I knew, when I was young my mother used to threaten to send me there if I was bad. It took me awhile to realized I lived in AZ not GA. :)

I have been trying to call the school about this but no one has been able to help me (at the alumni affairs)
