Manual for house manager??
I would have sworn that there was an officer manual for the house manager, but alas, I was mistaken - or it's not posted at Indy's web site.
Does anybody have a manual for the house manager? If so, please drop me a note as the house manager at Fullerton wants one. If there is no such beast, could someone please be so kind as to forward along a job description of what is execpted of a house manager. I suspect that this would be in your bylaws and could you please share it with me. Many Thanks |
Sort of what I was looking for, but . . .
I was really looking for a more formal officer's manual. Our house manager really is starting from the beginning and needs some detailed guidance. For example, to say "Inspect the smoke detectors" assumes that you know what you're looking for. We need a little more specificity in his duties. Perhaps we can bring this up on Saturday at Indy.
BTW, I never would have looked at the properties section of the web site; I looked under officer manuals and found nothing. |
John,
give Joe Klimek a call at LCAP. He might be able to help you with that. The reason that there isnt a specific manual is that our chapter's hosuing needs and responsibilites vary so much from school to school that you would have to have 100 differnet manuals. At Lehigh, the college does most if not all of the maintenance at the house, while at say Lycoming they live in a dorm and dont even have a house, while at Cornell it is an independently owned building with 100% falling on the house corp. Joe's number is 1317-872-8000, hit #2, then #2 again; great guy to deal with Lenoxxx |
