Ron Jeremy- Honorary TKE
 

So, last night on showtime was a documentary on the life of Porn Star Ron Jeremy and it showed him being inducted as an honorary TKE.

My question is for the fellas, would you be upset or proud if the Hedgehog or any Porn actor was made a member of you GLO?

I'd ask the ladies, but i'm pretty sure i know the answer to that one.

I'd be very disappointed if any chapter of my fraternity did that. I mean being inducted as an honorary member should mean that you have done something worth that title. Have a big scholong doesn't fit in that catagory.

Phi Kappa Psi inducts no one as an honorary member. We see this is degrading our fraternity simply for the gain of prestige.

We can also take this position because of the ridiculous number of prominent alumni that we have. We don't need honoraries.

If we were to take honoraries, we would not take a porn star, and any chapter doing this would experience the wrath of the fraternity.

See, Sigma Nu doesn't grant honorary membership either.

But, i really didn't want to make this a thread about fraternities that offer honorary memberships vs. those that don't.

Just that if yours did, would you want RJ to be a member. I think that if you're an active member you might see it as cool, but now as an alum i know that i, for one, would be ashamed.

In two words:

Hell no.

What they do is not what my fraternity is about. I guess some chapters don't value their bond as much as others.

He is honorary only in the eyes of the guys of that chapter. International turned down his application. From what I heard he saw intiation but didn't get a badge because he was turned down for membership.
