Seeking advice
Here's my situation. I really want to get involved with our new ZTA chapter at USF from an alumni standpoint. But, it has recently come to my attention that someone that I never want to speak to again is one of their advisors. For which area I do not know. This person is a wonderful Zeta and will do ANYTHING for ZTA, however, I, myself, choose not to associate with her due to other (non-ZTA) circumstances. What can I do? Let me put it this way, the two of us can't be in a room together so how do I work around that? I REALLY want to get involved with our new chapter but feel I can't because she already is. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

When you say 'involved' do you mean as an advisor? If so, there will probably be no way you can avoid this person.
However, if you were involved via the alumnae chapter, say as the Alumnae/Collegian Liason, you would only really deal with your counterpart on the collegian side, the Alumnae Relations Chair. Food for thought.... |
You can be a "virtual advisor" via e-mail if it is not a big hands-on position.

Yes, I would like to become an advisor and that is my fear that I will have to deal with her directly. Thanks for the suggestions though - I guess now is just not my time.
