big and lil night
For my big sis night the bigs and littles had the same shirt and the big would go hide in the house somewhere and the little would ahve to go find the person with the same shirt.
This year i think we are doing somthing different where the bigs and the littles have the same kind of socks on and a sheet would be held up in between the bigs and the little and the little would ahve to go stand in front of the person who had the same socks and then then sheet was dropped. |
This is a little new for all of us (we just re did our program) and I;m sure you've already had your night but suggestions for the future.
We don't have a house but Im sure it could work w/ differnt rooms with in a house. We separated our chapter and put them into 4 differnt locations. The new memebers meet at our suite and are told they are doing a sisterhood event w/ their angels sises (the pre big sises if you dont have them) and they meet their angel sises there. They are them told it's their big sis night and they get a shirt that the big sises made. Then they make stops at sister's houses At the first stop, the actives told the girls some of pi phi history that they dont know form the national test, usually something about our values. Then they are given a hint that the big sis writes as to who it is. My hint for my lil was "I love broccolli soup!" Then they are taken to the next house and given pi phi heritage and are taught a pi phi song and get another hint. Then they go tot he thirs house and there are seniors there who tell them what pi phi has meant to them and they are given one more hint. They are brought back to the suite to meet their big sis. The come in to the room and stand in a semi circle around el presedente and VP social (pledge mommy) and the big sises are standing behind them but not behind there lil. and then they are read informatin about accepting their big as their sponsor and all that. Then they are asked to read their family poem. They only read half of it, and then their big sis finishes it. Thye give hugs afterwards and stand next to eachother and the poems always make everyone cry. And that's pretty much how that goes. I think it's an amazing idea that our new VP social came up with this past semester. I hope it helps a bit! Erikah |
