{{{Crashing the AKA Forum}}}

Ok, did anyone see Star Jones' new beau Al drop a 5 Carat Platinum STUNNER on her finger at the 2004 NBA All Star Game!??? :D Denzel and Pauletta were sitting right there

She was so stunned, she couldn't speak!

I was like DA-YUM!!!

He's some sort of financier on Wall Street. Its nice for them, but they've only known each other 4 months! I guess anything can happen!

Prissfit1908 02-16-2004 02:04 AM

Four months, huh?

Well, I suppose stranger things have happened... I think if two people really know themselves and are in tune with what they want out of life, they can know if they could spend the rest of their lives with each other after four months... Shoo, I've seen folks date for 5 years, shack for another 3, get married and divorce within two years... And they had children... That makes no sense to me... Talk about wasting your youth!

I saw it, and was kinda confused about what was going on until I saw that ring:eek: :D :) I must watch "The View" tomorrow!

Go head on Star!!!!!! Work it Sista girl!!!

AKA2D '91 02-16-2004 09:25 AM

ummmmmm, I had JUST turned the TV off to go to bed when a soror called to ask me if I had seen it. We all were on the phone chit chatting and a tired sista like me decides to go to bed, therefore missing it.

I hope it's TRUE (love) and Good luck to them both! :D

Will she have P/G colors? Will she be seranaded? I think I"ll send an email to her site and see how she responds.

I wonder if dude got hit in the head with the ball during a time-out; how do you go out on national television, like that? My bad, I wish the happy couple well.

...but four months?

Come on, man, stop hating. I'm glad that a 40-something sista (especially a Soror) found love. :)

...ok, but why is he sitting COURTSIDE with Secret-Service aviators on? is dude on tilt? emotional about what he's gettin' ready to do? what?

Even the cool smiley face has cooler sunglasses on ---->

But "Mr.Star" is due respect. Two years ago we had a frat bruh propose to his bride (an AKA, no less) at our annual black-tie formal. Before anybody knew anything, he'd grabbed the mike and was on one-knee in the middle of the floor. Women were hollering ... bruhs were wondering just how many he'd imbibed  :p

I honestly didn't think Shaq was remotely attractive, but I must admit...that pic made me do a double-take! :D I tell you, a nice suit will make any man's attractometer skyrocket.

And I do mean a nice suit, not some bright primary-color number. Masculine elegance, IMO, means sartorial conservatism.:)
