People who mock GLOs
 

You walk by a chapter house (not necessarily yours) and another person mocks it by saying, oh, I dunno, "Alpha Beta blah blah blah" in a whiney voice. What would you do? I'd personally do nothing, since it isn't very nice to yell at someone you don't know.

Ignore them. Not worth it.

Just keep on walking and don't worry about it.

They're just jealous and insecure about not belonging. Don't even bother trying to argue with them. It's a waste of time and effort.

I'd spit at em.

Remember the old New York and Chicago gangster adage: "First time's happenstance, second time's coincidence, third time we're going to the mattresses!" ;) :) :D ('Going to the mattresses' - holing up in a safe house where mobsters could rest, reload and plan their next counterattack; that was quite common during the gang wars of the 1930s.)

This actually happened this afternoon as I was going home from the library. It wasn't in front of the AGD house, but still, it wasn't very nice. I tried not to stare at him. Worried that he'd beat me up or something if I did.

I'd just ignore it.... mainly because it happens all the time in front of our house.... they don't understand, and that's their loss.

I try to not get too upset. The people who say bad stuff about us are the people who have never even met any of us.

What *does* make me angry is when these people come to our parties. It's like what, you love our parties but hate us? It makes no sense.

My response to anyone I hear make insulting comments about Phi Chi or any other Greek org on campus -
I catch their eye in a way that lets them know I heard them, don't say anything, and just look at them with this look that my mother says "just looks like you're asking a question and expect people to read your mind." Most of the time, it at least makes the person blush.

i think its funny that this topic even came up... bc while i haven't had someone do that infront of the house, i have had someone do it as i'm walking by if i'm wearing my letters or something....

i usually just ignore it, but i think the problem is that people have many misconceptions about GLOs... esp. w/ all the BS that's all over TV and such...it seems like such an exclusive thing, the only way people know how to deal w/ that is to make fun.

just give a sarcastic smile to them
