How does a sorority go about getting INC. we want to look into it but we have no idea where to start. Anyone out there have first hand experience with this?

Inc. or Incorporating would be done on a state level. Once the "original" chapter has incorporated that will be recognized when you have new chapters in different states, since other states must recognize each others corporations.
