Jessica Simpson has gone too far...
I can't believe she's done this....
Her new "song" now out is a freakin' cover.......of Berlin's "Take My Breath Away"!!!! WTF??? I first heard her sing it on Oprah w/the boy singing along also..my gawd..I wanted to cry...it was so horrible. Why can't people write their own music?? :( |
SO?
People do covers all the time. Besides, Berlin didn't even like that song anyway. It was one of their biggest hits, but it was what kinda led to their breakup. |
As long as her video is topless i don't care what she's singing.
|
her and her "boy" ...that would be her husband....sang the song ecause thatw as the song they first kissed too... my god you act like it was a crime she sang a song from another artist like other artis dont sing other songs...
get a life! |
Glad I'm not the only one with this feeling, I love jessica and Nick they both can sing, so why not sing anything they can!
people do covers all the time! What about No Doubts "its my life" if jessica has gone to far then everyone who has done a cover has |

99% of pop stars do not write their own music.
Same for country singers. They're just pretty faces with decent voices. For some strange reason, we give them a lot of credit for it. |

This is more like, "What do you think of McDonald's McRib sandwich?" |
From what i know "Its my Life" was originally done in the 80s by a Talk Talk
...so even big named bands do covers |

And for the record, I love McRib sandwiches. |
I liked the Berlin and Klymaxx epsiodes of Bands Reunited too. I doubt Berlin even cares that Jessica is doing the cover. It's not a big deal.

What is the sincerest form of flattery, after all?
"Take my breath away" is a silly little pop song.
Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey--the "boy" in question--are silly little pop singers. Exactly what is the problem? Covers are a fact of life, which if popular end up helping the songwriter or original artist just as much as the cover artist. Hell, Dolly Parton credits Whitney Houston's cover of "I Will Always Love You" for lining her pockets with royalties, even though it was more popular than her version. |
