If You Own A Bar, What Would You Call It?

Maybe I'd name it after my favorite bar name when I was in college...

The Library.

"Hey Mom, I'm going to The Library."

There are quite a few college bars in Wisconsin by that name. Here we just try to be sneaky and pretend Murph's is our friend Murphy's house.

There's also a college bar called Grandma's, I think that's my favorite. ;)

The Yellow Goose Pub. One of my sisters and I were joking around saying that we wanted to open up a bar, and that's what we were going to call it. My pledge name was Daisy and hers was Goose so Yellow Goose Pub because it incorporates both of our pledge names.

There's a bar in Scarborough, ON that's called "Cougars". It's run by 2 40-something year old women.

If I had a bar...what would I call it. I don't know. I can't think of anything right now. My job stifles my creativity.

there's a bar in boston called "the littlest bar in boston" and i'd probably rip that off and name it "the littlest bar in [insert city here]"

The Stumbling Buffalo.

We had naming rules for bars in our chapter. If your house or apartment had a bar, you had to follow the naming formula:

adjective + mammal

We had the,

Dirty Weasel
Moody Marmot
Sly Beaver
Mucky Duck
Stumbling Buffalo

Yeah, i know a duck's not a mammal, but they had one of those duck phones that would quack instead of ring, so it was kind of a given.

Kitso
KS 361 times i'd announce at the end of chapter, Tuesday Night Quarters at the Buffalo!

This may be stolen from a Jimmy Buffet song, but I'd call it the "Dew Drop Inn."

And since Kitso reminded me, one of my favorite in-house bars when I was a Phi Psi was the "Dirty Dog Lounge."

"He's Not Here" is a great name for a bar -- neat place that's been around since the '70s in Chapel Hill, NC.

Also, my bar would serve "Donkey punch", "jelly doughnuts", and more.

-Rudey
--Maybe it'll just be a highly sexual alcohol and doughnut environment.

You'd need to get a Penguin phone.

Or maybe one of those Penguins from the Bud Ice commericals that would sing, "doobie, doobie doo"

I had stuffed buffalos all over the bar and a picture of a buffalo on the wall.
