Visas
I'm looking into getting a Visa to go to Japan. Unless you are a student or working or whatever, you can get a tourist one for 90 days.
Does anyone know how often you can renew this? Is it different country to country? I mean, if I leave the country for a day, can I turn around and get another 90 day visa? |

It will be different from country to country because they all have different rules/laws. Their websites will also have information on applying for visas, etc. |
Do the same rules apply to MasterCard and Discovery.
(I'm sorry, another one of those days.) |

ThetaGrrl- All you have to do is leave the country for at least 24 hours and then you can come back for another 90 days. Thats what I had to do last spring when I was staying in Sweden. After 3 months I went to Germany for a weekend and then I could come back to Sweden for another 3 months. You don't have to go back to your home country, you just have to leave the one you're in for at least 24/48 hours. Cash |
Thetagrrl,
US citizens don't need a visa for tourist or business travel to Japan. You just need your passport and proof of return (like your return or onward ticket). The best place to go is the State Department website: www.state.gov look under "travel & living abroad", then "visa services". They have a country by country list of entry requirements, with links to the individual embassies and consulates. http://travel.state.gov/foreignentryreqs.html Bon Voyage, wptw |
I recommend going to www.g3visas.com to get a visa or passport. They can get you one on 24 hours! (Of course, you pay dearly for it.)

Contact the Japanesy embassy about re-entry requirement. They know best.
