I got my Q!
I thought forsure this would be posted... I got my Q on Friday! What about everyone else?
|
I found mine laying next to the front door on Friday, my dear husband forgot to tell me it arrived Thursday.

Hmm...okay. This means I'll probably get mine sometime before Convention.
|
Got mine today -- along with 5 blocks for the Centennial quilt!
|
This is great! The Winter Quarterly actually arrived a full month and a half before the end of the season! ;) Hopefully this means I'll have mine by the end of the week. :)

Hmmm
Somethings not right..... Does IHQ not like me again?! ;) Maybe tomorrow :) |
I got mine yesterday. It's a fun issue!
|
I got mine yesterday, but I didn't check the mail until this morning. I brought it to work with me so that I can try to sneak in a read sometime today...I didn't want to wait until I got home to read it. :)

read for class or read the Quarterly... read for class or read the Quarterly... what do i do??? :D
|
Because I didn't want to wait till July to read my Winter Q, I read it online today.
I'm so glad they featured Karen Carnegie! It's always nice to see a chapter sister (a charter member too!) getting the spotlight! Congrats to all the scholarship recipients! |
There was one on the GTau hall but I didn't have time to read it. Maybe mine will be at home tomorrow.

This is probably going to make me sound a little goofy and melodramatic, but that's okay. It's something I want to say anyway. Every time I get a new issue of the Quarterly, when I see the pictures of chapters from a while ago, I always get filled with so much pride. It humbles me so much to look at pictures and read the words of women who have been part of Alpha Gamma Delta for such a long time. I was initiated in March of 2002 and compared to some of the girls in my chapter, that's a significant amount of time. But compared to the women who have been Alpha Gams for many decades, 2 years is nothing! I just want to thank the women who are inspirations and role models for all of us "baby squirrels." I admire the women who are still active and still remember the Purpose and strive to live by it years after their college experiences. I hope that 50 years down the road, people still look at me and know I'm an Alpha Gam just by the way I live.

It hasn't made its way to California yet either... I'm so excited to hear that Karen Carnegie is featured! KC is awesome!!! She's been very involved with Delta Tau and the Junior Circles out here. I can't wait to get my copy now! :) Her job must be sooooo cool. I always tell people about her!

I found mine! It had been delivered a few days ago biut it was underneath a Home Improvement catalog. Good thing I decided to throw that one out.;)
