Welcome cherub1973

Hi there.
I just noticed your post on Roll Call. You're right...Betas do know how to have fun! Where are you looking for a chapter? How is the process going?

where's a chapter for me??!!!

I would like to find a chapter in the Johnson City (TN) area. If there is one, I have enough friends who want to join also. There's a group of about 25 or so of us. Thanks for any help that anyone gives us lost sheep!!

25 people?!

I smell a friendly venture! But I'll let some of the Beta sisters help you out with that!!

Good luck!

WOW!!!

TWENTY-FIVE PEOPLE:D :)

That's amazing! Well, no chapter is going to want to take on 25 pledges at once...that's for sure. However, one of the chapters in your area might be really excited to sponsor a Friendly Venture (new chapter). Being a part of a brand new chapter is so exciting. The process is fairly easy. If you have seven women willing to join (no problem for you, it seems), you send in your applications and fees to be a recognized as a chapter. After you have ten members, you receive your official Beta Sigma Phi charter. You can do it on your own, but I highly recommend working with an existing chapter if possible. They will help you through your pledge period and maybe even conduct your rituals. They will help you to better understand the operations of the organization and guide you proper procedures.

I'm so excited for you. PM me if you have questions. My Friendly Venture is now a year and four months old!

Good luck!

Good Luck with the FV!:D Just think you will be able to create your chapters standing rules etc.

25 is a big # to start with, not to sound negative, but a chapter could lose 1-3 members per year for various reasons (transfers, schedules, kids, moving etc.).
