Question - maybe you can help??
 

I have a close friend from college that is a Sig Kap and no longer wants to be a Sig Kap. She doesn't want to be an alum or anything. She's only been a Sig Kap for one semester, and like me, had to move to another school - she would like to belong to another sorority - (I don't want to ) can she do this? I told her I didn't think she could - what do you guys think/know about this??

if she went through intitiation, no she can't join another panhellenic sorority. if she wants to join a local or something, then i guess, but according to panhell rules you can only be a member of one panhell glo. once you are initiated you can't join another.

Okay so I just had someone ask me if you went panhell in college and then dropped out or transferred to another school and they didn't have your chapter....what if you wanted to go D9? Is that possible?? (Other than the fact that I don't know how cool with that they'd be?)...I didn't even know what to tell her.

Most of the NPHC also specifically deny membership to someone already initiated to an NPC chapter. I believe there was a post or thread about one of them allowing it though. I don't recall which.

I am not going to call out the NPHC sorority that allows initiated members of a NPC to join their sorority. I have been asked by this sorority to join them, even after I initiated SK. They knew that I was a member of SK and told me that since we are not under the same Panhellenic that it was fine that I could join them.

But like everyone else if she wanted to join another NPC, she could not do that. But she could still join a local.
