Beta at UVA
I posted this in Greek life too...
What do you guys know about our chapter Virginia? My pledge son's lil' brother is heading there next year, so we're interested to hear what it's like out there. If you guys know anything good or bad, let me. Cooramoor, I'm looking in your direction since youre out that way. BTW I've already checked out their chapter website. |
I really have no idea.
I've never been there and the one guy I know that has been there pounded on the chapter house door but no one answered and he had to sleep in his car. |
Not sure if you're still looking for info. on the Beta Chapter at UVa, but here it is just in case.
My boyfriend is a Beta alumnus from that chapter, and I have visited Charlottesville on a couple of occasions. Every Greek I have met there consistently says that Beta is one of the best chapters on campus. And every Beta I have met from that chapter has been a gentleman, outgoing, etc.--everything you'd expect a Beta to be! Your son could not go wrong if he goes Beta! |
I believe Beta just got back on campus at UVA. They have thirty guys now and had the best gpa out of all fraternities. Does not seem like they are the most reputable chapter there and they probaly just got back because they were on probation or suspended but that is a guess. For more information check out their website www.uvabeta.com.

Sorry to barge in again...Just wanted to clarify that the Omicron chapter of Beta Theta Pi will next year celebrate 150 years (though I don't think that's 150 CONTINUOUS years) on the UVa campus. They did NOT just recolonize on campus this year--they have been on the UVa campus steadily for some time. I searched the national website but could not find information about any previous recolinizations of the Omicron chapter; it was only mentioned that the chapter was installed in 1855. Hope this information helps. Thanks!!
