LADIES, YOU ARE GREAT!!! You continue to prove how true that is. I admire AKA so much for all that she is. You have helped me (scholarship http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif) and others tremendously. Today, I saw your "shield" on the side of the city bus here supporting the US Census. I have noticed members of AKA helping out at various shelters here and having "REAL" fund raisers for "REAL CHARITIES" http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif. I want to one day try and enter your wonderful sisterhood but I want to make sure that I am totally able to dedicate my time like you all are. I want to make sure that when I present myself to AKA I am someone she wants. So... to ALL the members of AKA, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK OF REPRESENTING, NOT JUST AKA BUT, STRONG WOMEN!!! Take care.

So true. I think everyone feels the same (even other sororites got to give it up to AKA). They rock!!!!

YEA THE AKAS ARE COOL BUT SERIOULSY THOUGH THEY DO NO MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE SO QUIT TRYING TO MAKE IT SOMETHING ITS NOT. THE OTHERS GREEKS DO JUST AS MUCH AND THEY "ROCK" TO. SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO "GIVE IT UP TO ANYONE" CAUSE THEY GOT IT GOING ON TOO!!!

Maybe this organisation should expand into the Iran, the are a lot of woman who need help!!!

Prettygyrl, why was there the need to down play someone else's compliment of my organization? We all know some (not all) greek organizations are doing great things.
You have a right to your opinion but her comment in no way down played anyone elses contributions to society, so what's up with your comment? If the others are about the business people will see it and comment as well. We (AKA) are very active so if we get complimented more then others oh well, we're just doing our thang. Yes Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is great and grand even. This forum was made to uplift that very fact. Those who get offended should not even enter.

aka's who, they do no more than others. in fact they probably do less. study the facts and know the history before you fall in love with anything.

I'm not an AKA, but that was uncalled for Annie. No need to be disrespectful to a sorority that you aren't a part of. I also want to comment on what I've seen here. The amount of support that I've seen in this message board is awesome. All the AKA's should be very proud of themselves.
