My friend who's rushing at Univ of Md, College Park!
 

Thought I'd post about a friend of mine going through rush at UMD-CP this semester since everyone LOVES rush threads (as do I!) Well my friend is absolutely adorable down to earth and I hope will find her home! Things had been hectic with the weather issue up there so rush events and dates had to be switched, but everything starts tonight, in about an hour actually.

Tonight they go to the first seven houses tonight, the next seven tomorrow to meet the sisters, then Sunday everything is narrowed down to six houses, then from six to three on February 2nd (pref) and February 4th is Bid Day!! She's gonna tell me whats up and I'll be able to post her, of course being respectful with the likeliness that is GC! :-D They have some awesome GLO's at Maryland, 14 great groups to choose from:

For those of you keeping track at home, UMD usually has "Tours" (the women visit all 14 houses), then Set of 10, Set of 5, and Preference. Due to the weather this year they are having Tours, Set of 8 and then Preference. Bid day will still be February 4.

Okay I haven't had the chance to talk to my other friend yet, but I know the friend I was originally talking about (we'll call her "Tweedle Dee" so I dont have to refer to her as "friend" anymore) but anyway, she was asked back to all fourteen houses and now has to make the decision of cutting them down to 8 groups! Go her!

any word on what houses she's going to for the next round?

Both of my girls got asked back to all 14 chapters and they've selected the 8 that they want...they said they both felt really comfortable and loved a particular house but are keeping an open mind (so smart hehe) and giving everyone a chance, next update I have, I'll let ya'll know!

Any news as to where they went yesterday and where they got invited back? I do believe preference is tomorrow.

Okay so one of my friends got preffed by her first choice and she is choosing to suicide the one she wants (the one she had been in love with from the beginning) So hopefully it'll go well for her!

My other friend is having a hard time deciding between two of the glo's she liked, so she is going to both groups tomorrow and then deciding.
