not rush again!??

Hopefully someone who had been through something similar or knows might have an answer.
Ok, I went through rush this past fall and was a proud new AOII. I went through pledging and about half of the new member period. There were some family illnesses that caused me to have to drop the semester as well as leave school.
Starting this semester I transferred back to my original school and would like to join the same sorority different chapter obviously. I contacted the president of this chapter and the chapter has invited me to dinner tomorrow and I am going.
My question is, do I have to go through getting another bid and even pledging again?

Thanks Greek Chatters!

'chicky--have a great time at chapter dinner tomorrow night! I posted in your Greek Life thread too, I've PM'd you so make sure you check there!

I'd like to suggest that you remove the AOII letters from your sig for the time being. Hopefully you'll be able to put them right back though, but until that time comes it would be best that you don't use them. Post or PM me if you have *any* questions about this!

A bid at one school does not carry to another school. If you changed schools, then yes, you need to go through the process again to receive a bid, whether that be formal or informal recruitment.

If you were not an initiated member of the first AOII chapter then you will need to either go through Spring COR, Spring Recruitment, or wait until the fall. I know my chapter of AOII has taken "transfer" sisters from other universities and colleges. Since I've been chapter adviser we have had two sisters from other chapters join our chapter. I also know we might have one more transferring from a chapter in GA. But back to your question, have fun at the dinner and enjoy yourself, but you will have to go through their recruitment processes or COR processes.
:)
Good Luck!
