Founder's Day Celebrations

Has anyone been to one yet? Did you enjoy it?

I went to one today in Louisville. I enjoyed every alum that I met plus a special presentation that was performed by kids who raise money for cancer. We also had seven 50 year theta's sporting their 50 year theta pansy pin :) I enjoyed myself immensely and once again remembered why I love Theta. :)

I went to one this morning with the Plano Alumnae Association. It was fun to meet Thetas from so many different chapters. We didn't have any 50-year members, but we did have two 25-year members.

Happy (early) Founder's Day!

AW SHOOT!!! I should have gone :-(

I went to the one in Colorado Springs. It's my second event with the local alum group, because they really don't do too much. I met some wonderful women, including two that graduated from my chapter the year before I joined.

This was the first Founder's Day that I didn't spend with my chapter, which made me a little sad. I saw all the actives from the CC chapter there, and I was slightly envious. It made me miss my house!

I had to miss Founders Day this year because of family commitments - first time in years. I felt both guilty and sad.

But, I am having lunch with 2 ELCs, an HQ staff member, and the gal I sponsored as an alumna initiate tomorrow (on our actual anniversary), so I guess that counts. :-)

Happy 134th birthday, sisters!
loyally,
Jane

Happy Founder's Day!

Also, the Ole Miss Chapter of KAQ (Epsilon Zeta) is 25 years old as of January 24! Congrats! They are a very strong chapter with awesome members! Some of my best friends were Theta's when we were in college!

Which ELC's? I know one of them- Lindsay from Beta Gamma!

Lindsay and Melissa (our based ELCs at Eta Lambda/Santa Clara). They are fantastic ELCs and wonderful women.

PM me if you want me to give a message to Lindsay tomorrow (Tuesday).

Hey thetaprincess are you in the alumni chapter in Lexington or Louisville? I noticed you went to a founders day event in Louisville but live in Lexington. I am a member of the alumni chapter in Louisville and a friend of mine is in the alumni chapter in Lexington. Let me know when you go to the events in Louisville and we can meet up and go together. Are you one of our new advisors for delta upsilon? I know we have a new advisor on our team but i cannot remember her name.:)

I am her! I'm in the process of trying to get in touch with the Lexington alumnae chapter president, but she hasnt returned any of my emails since November and I contacted someone else who forwarded her my information last week and still hasnt gotten in touch with me. I keep trying though.

I know someone at the Louisville alumnae chapter who is also the Theta rep. for the Louisville Alumnae Panhellenic Chapter. The next event is a LOuisville Alumnae Panhellenic Scholarship Luncheon on Feb. 21st. That is RSVP and is $20 PM me for the contact info. The featured speaker at that event is a Theta who recently published a book and will have her book on hand to autograph them plus $2 of every book sold goes to the scholarship fund to Panhellenic for Louisville area greek women. i am definitely going to this so if you would like to meet up there let me know!

Well, I wondered if we did this alum initiate thing. I never heard of it before I came to GC.

Happy birthday to all of us, and especially my own Epsilon Zeta chapter at Ole Miss! The girls are planing a wonderful anniversary celebration for March.

Happy (belated) Birthday Theta!

The San Diego Alumnae Chapter will be celebrating Founders' Day this Saturday. We're always having the event in February, not in late January like we should. We're a little more laid back out here in Southern California! :)

I'm excited to see the 50+ year Thetas. Always gets me choked up. Theta truly is for a lifetime! Theta love to all!
