PREF NIGHT!!!!

My chapter has never particiapted in formal recruitment before, so I barely have an idea of what pref night is, but everyone else has even less than me. So..


How do I explain pref night to my party planners??

Preference Night is more formal than the other nights and usually requires everyone to be dressed up.

For our Preference Night we only invite the girls that we intend to give a bid to on the following day. For us, we weed out all the girls that we don't like so we can focus on the girls that we do like and get to know them a little bit better on the last night of rush.

Is there a way that a nearby Tri Delt chapter could conduct a pre-rush pref party for you to participate in, with y'all acting as PNMs and the other chapter as the rushers? That way your chapter could get to see how one works, and the other chapter gets an extra practice run before rush.

That is a great idea...and should be done for all new chapters & colonies, regardless of affiliation.

DolphinChica, I'd explain to the sisters that the Preference Party is your last chance to "seal the deal" with the PNMs. It's usually semi-formal, and fairly emotional. The rest, you really should get from your HQ, as they've had a LOT of experience in prepping chapters for Pref.
