Penpal Wanted
 

hello! My name is Yong Chu and I am currently teaching English at a jr. high school in Hiroshima, Japan. I have started a penpal program here but I am one penpal short! You will be writing approximately one letter a month until April to a 14 year old, 2nd year (8th grade) boy. If you know of anyone (including yourself) who is around the same age or who is still in school or a recent graduate, please email me.
I am in a real bind here. We are expecting the next set of letters to arrive in 1.5 weeks. So this new penpal needs to send me a letter by monday the 26th at the latest for it to arrive around the same time as the other letters.
I would really hate to pass out letters to his classmates and he be the only one without a letter from a penpal. Thank you so much for your help.

Your email wasn't specific about the age. Are you looking for someone the same age as the child or a collegiate? I am not active in ADPi because i have gone 5th senior. But I'm still in College and would be quite interested in helping out. :) Good luck!

This has got me thinking..would any of you sisters be interested in maybe being pen pals (like extended Diamonds) to some of our new alphas at UNT? I think the NMC might be interested in something like that.

Long Distance Pi Pals? I think that would be terrific!!

My own problem is that I have two wonderful pen friends who got me through my divorce who think I ignore them for only writing once a month (oops!). But if you have the time, I think it's a wonderful idea!!

I think it could be interestingly done through email even... Cause I know I personally am horrible about sitting down and writting a letter, but I will send out long detailed emails all the time..

I would definitely consider it if it was done through email. Also, could they write to us first so we could get an idea of who they are before writing to them??
