worshiping this herbie is a sick obsession. http://home.earthlink.net/~bonnies1/...gos/herbie.gif Kitso KS 361 times i'm surprised none of the Cornholes on here posted that |
Yay, Herbie rules!!! :D
When my parents worked in Germany in the early 70s (on an army base near Stuttgart), they had a Herbie car (just without the racing stripes and #53). I have always loved beetles and finally got one of my own a couple months ago... http://www.vw.com/art/newbeetle/nbcc/nbcc_home_hero.jpg How cute is THAT?! http://www.vw.com/art/newbeetle/nbcc...e_overhead.jpg It is fast and peppy (thanks to the Turbo engine vrooom vrooom) just like Herbie. There is definitely something special about a car that enjoys being somewhat silly looking. I like that beetles don't look like every other car on the road. |

Herbie the car ONLY from now. |
Herbie the Cornhusker, idolized mascot of the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
My roommate was from Lincoln, so I got educated in the ways of the Big Red. Is it just me, or does the Big XII have some weird mascots? I have no room to talk, ours is a giant bird that has nothing to do whatsoever with our actual team name, which itself is an awe-inspiring whirling vortex of destruction. |

He is an entomologist though, and I think anyone who gets a graduate degree in bugs & insects, and has dressed up as the Orkin man is "special". |
