In need of some pointers again! :)
Its good not to give up right away...I found out last night that I got a personal invitation to a COB dinner for Pi Phi. I'm really excited, but so totally nervous, maybe even more so since its post-rush, etc. Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Dress cute, smile, remember what makes you an asset: grades, campus participation, role model, leadership, talents--- and be yourself. Enjoy the evening and go into it to make new friends. Do say hello to the Pi Phi's who are your friends and make sure they introduce you to their favorite sisters, including the recruitment chair and the president.
All things happen for a reason, Pam, and remember, always be true to yourself. You have so much talent to give the world. I wish you the best, I wish you to be a Greek sister, but above all, I wish you happiness. Go get 'em! And HAVE FUN! Pi Love, ADPiUCF |
Pam,
Read up on PiPhi's history, their national programs, and ask questions about how it all relates to the chapter. Work in to the conversation how you could help with their scholarship/service/sisterhood/whatever. Don't be cheesy, but sell yourself! It's not a shame to be proud of your accomplishments. |
oh, a personal invite. That is super cool. When is it?
Good luck. |
Good luck! I'll hope for the best!

Wow Pam, how exciting!
I agree with what has been mentioned above. Make sure to ask questions. Before I went through recruitment I studied up on websites and learned some history. To this day I still get teased that I knew facts before I pledged! It just really shows your interest in the organization. Just go into it with a smile and see what comes out of it. :) |
OH GOOD LUCK!!!!! I have no pointers, but I'm wishing you the best of luck!!!!
|
Sending some good luck vibes your way sweetie!
|
Yeah Pam! Good luck!

It's February 3rd I believe.

Oh Pam!! I'm so excited!! What an excellent sign. My advice: read up on Pi Phi stuff, think of questions you have about the chapter and their sisterhood, and just be open and friendly and wonderful! :)

ditto to all above.
just be ready to be yourself and have a ball. you just never know what might happen. |
Good Luck! I wish you all the best, Pi Phi is a great organization!
|
and full of great girls. How'd you end up with the personal invite? Are you friends with a girl from class? That they liked you enough to invite is a great sign!
|
Co-signing on all the good advice AND the best wishes!! :)
