Survivor: All-Stars
 

So, The Early Show has announced (officially) the cast of the Survivor All-Stars starting right after the Super Bowl on February 1st (less than three weeks away!). They will be competing in the Pearl Islands...as Jeff explained it (as a paraphrase), familiar people, familar challenges, so we should have a familiar place (and Panama was their favorite). As reported months ago, there will be three tribes (Chapera, Mogo Mogo, and Saboga), and the 18 castaways are (they haven't said who's in which tribe, but I'm sure shortly the official website will be up with the info, unless they do the "picking" on the premiere episode :rolleyes: :
Survivor ~ Pulau Tiga: Jenna (L), Susan, Rudy, Richard
Survivor ~ Australian Outback: Tina, Colby, Alicia, Amber, Jerri
Survivor ~ Africa: Ethan, Lex, Tom
Survivor ~ Marquesas: Kathy, Rob M.
Survivor ~ Thailand: Shii Ann
Survivor ~ Amazon: Jenna (M), Rob C.
Survivor ~ Pearl Islands: Rupert

The person who did the story explained how they picked these 18 castaways:
* Asked all previous 112 castaways are you available?
* Eliminated those who said they were not available
* Looked at those remaining, paired them up (to see where the drama would come from???) and then decided who they would ask...2 of them DID say no (I wonder which two?)

The woman also asked Jeff which Survivor's torch he was looking most forward to snuff....he said Richard's since his is the only torch he's never snuffed (wouldn't that be true of ALL the winners???)

Saboga (Yellow buffs): Ethan, Jenna L., Jerri, Rudy, Rupert, Tina

I'm really excited for this!!

I don't think I will watch this. I've never watched any of the previous Survivor seasons.

I'm stoked about S:AS! It's going to be cool. I can't wait to see how Rupert & Rudy get along....and Lex & Rich

Elizabeth (new View co-host) was one of the ones to say no...the way she acted about it, I think it was more like "hell no!"

One tidbit I do know is that Jenna M (the winner of Amazon) left early b/c her Mom was dying (she did pass away during the filming, but I think Jenna made it home before).

and Amber is an Alpha Gam!

Can't wait to see S: AS!! i didn't used to watch the show but my sister got me hooked on it this season (pearl islands)

damn reality shows...soo entertaining! :)

I'm sure my mom is psyched. She LOVES Survivor, and I used to always watch it too, before I went off to college!

I don't remember Kathy. Who was she?

She's the blond who made it into the top three with Neleh and Vecepia, and Neleh chose to take V to the final two rather than Kathy.

I just didn't think it was fair to have past winners compete again.

Then again I just don't want to see Richard parading around.

I was kinda thinking that too, but then I also thought that it'd be interesting to see if they still could "Outwit, outlast, outplay" the other castaways, since everyone's coming in having seen each other's strategies....they'll each have to come up with new ones, and I'm sure most of the non-winners will gun for the previous winners as the first to go!

But then I was thinking, how are they going to handle the tribal immunities....is it going to be the same as when the Outcasts came back this past season, so if the one tribe beats the other two, the other two have to each vote a member out and then the winning tribe votes two members into the other tribes, or is it going to just be a straight shot, the two losing tribes each vote out a member, and the third tribe keeps all of theirs, or what? (Sorry if this seems really awkwardly worded :o )

A little upset that Kel isn't in it though. He was a HOTTIE.

I'm SO glad Ethan's in it. He is so friggin hot! I'll watch it just to drool over him for another season!
