Question for EVERYONE!
When everything has been said and done, how would you like ALL of the many people you have come into contact with remember you?
I'll come back later... clarification: When your time has come to meet your MAKER (I didn't really want to put it like that) [This message has been edited by AKA2D '91 (edited April 22, 2001).] |
Well, this is just me. I'm not the kind of person that dwells too long on whether so-and-so likes me or anything like that. It there's one thing I've learned in my short 19 years on this earth, it's that there will always be individuals who DON'T like you (whether they have a reason or not).
More important to me is... even if you didn't like me, did you respect me? What is of prime importance to me is my reputation. I would want people to be able to say I was a respectable and reputable person who practiced what I preached. I'm very conscious of not being hypocritical, so I would want them to be able to say I lived what I talked. I guess that's about it. |

As long as I am remembered. Hopefully it will be for something positive. I hate to think that when I die people will go on like I never existed and that my life didn't change someones else's for the better.

I would want to be remembered, as a compassionate person who is very bright and concerned about the lives of those less fortunate than I. Also as part of the solution, and not part of the problem

I want to be remembered as someone who. . .
could always make you laugh in your lowest moment was always there to listen if you had something to say made an impact on you even if in the smallest way was a true friend was smart (intellectually/ mouthed) was mature for my age; yet was young at heart brought the best out of everyone was loved and respected by everyone who KNEW me you can't imagine life without ------------------ "I don't know. you be the judge." ~Hits [This message has been edited by CocoaCaramel (edited April 22, 2001).] |
I have to echo what SweetestDiva said--"I would want people to be able to say I was a respectable and reputable person who practiced what I preached". I'd also like people to remember me as a person who treated others exactly as I would want to be treated (even when the favor is/was not returned)...I have to thank my Momma, Daddy, & Grandma for that!

I hope that I am remembered as that girl who ALWAYS made you laugh, no matter how bad things were (or going to get)also as that kind Social Worker always going that extra mile to make the lives of others easier.

I think I want to be remembered as that STRONG MINDED, STRONG WILLED, INDEPENDENT, DETERMINED person who said what she felt.
The person who always helped and encouraged those she was closest to or cared for... The person who put the needs of others before her own needs... Also, I want to be remembered as the person who continued to strive for excellence even though I had suffered/experienced many disappointments and setbacks... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif [This message has been edited by AKA2D '91 (edited April 22, 2001).] |
AKA2D'91,
Can you be more specific? Do you mean as pertaining this forum? Or in life in general? I am asking for clarification because my answer would vary greatly depending on which you are referring to. Thanks |
I want to be remembered as a good mother (I don't have kids just yet, though), a loving wife, and a WONDERFUL friend, sister, and soror. I want people to remember my strength and my tears. I want to be remembered in positive ways, only. I want people to remember my smile and my laughter. I want people to say that I was giving of my time and of my self.
I just want people to remember me. |
That I taught by deed,... how to love.
