Like Ralph Lauren? Read this!!
 

Ok fellow female shopping addicts:
If you like Ralph Lauren, you should know that he is no longer making his line of sportswear. Basically, anything with a GREEN Ralph Lauren label will not be made anymore. If you have ever bought RL in a dept. store, i.e. his jeans,sweaters, sweatshirts, button downs, skirts, etc. basically anything in the 30- 200 price range...it will no longer be made.

I'm telling you this because I know a lot of people who are upset, because for some, his clothes fit really well (generously, if anything.) You should also know b/c dept. stores have to get rid of all of it, so the entire line should be at least 25% off everywhere you go. At Marshall Fields, it is between 25% and 80% off. If it is full price somewhere else, you should be able to bitch until they push it down. :)

P.S. Ralph is still making Polo for men and women and his black and purple labels, although those are in the 300 and up price range and i figured that didn't apply to many ppl on here!

FYI: I read a PR Newswire release that indicated that Jones Apparel wasn't "prepared to put product into work for spring 2004" of the green label Ralph Lauren line.

Basically it's a licensing issue....I didn't really feel like explaining it, suffice to say that Jones won't be making RL green label (which is referred to as "Ralph" and "Lauren" in the article) and that's what I thought you all should know. It's a legal issue within their own company, so that's why there's no announcement on the website. If you don't believe me, go check a dept. store-- the spring/summer line should be out already.....but there's only cruisewear, because there IS NO spring/summer line to display.

Tommy Hilfiger must be dancing.. he clearly hated Ralph Lauren on that last episode of Rich Girls!
