Greetings Ladies,
I have been a silent monitor off and on for a year or so. Of course I am an interest, but seriously speaking, even if I am NEVER extended membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., let me just say that you women are SO intelligent and well-read. I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see the diversity of topics posted on this board ranging from AIDS to Tavis Smiley.
Of course, my reasons for wanting to be a member of AKA are varied, but I most look forward to the intellectually challenging conversations with "you guys".
It is difficult to find "Black Intellensia" in the population-at-large, but I am duly compensated by this message board.

That is all I wanted to say.

Hello Sisterfriends!

After posting throughout various topics here for about a month, I came to the realization that, I have been all up in someone's "house" without even wiping my feet on the mat or introducing myself to the "owners" ... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif

SO, in the spirit of sweetgabrown's post (and in the spirit of SEARCHING for a topic! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif ) I would like to say that my visits to the Alpha Kappa Alpha forum are in anticipation of stimulating topics, intelligent and tactful expression of opinion, and and abundance of women who embrace unity within their sorority above all else, an accomplishment that is TRULY to be "envied".
