Where Could I get greek letters for my webpage?
I have searched high and low for greek letters and other greek related clips and fonts for my sorority's webpage. Help me out! :) Thanx!

try this
try symbol font- it works for like AIM and microsoft word- but you hasve to find the letters in capitals..... can you try copy and pasting them from another website (even from signitures or soemthng- like taking a PHI from someones and a TAU from another or wahtever until you get your letters) try playing around with that- otherwise try a font search for greek letters- you can download fonts to your computer- also like on my website you can download fonts (i use tripod and they are called webgems that you can add) directly through the site....? good luck

I'll make you a banner with your letters on it! What colors do you want it? Can I see the web page you are working on so I can match colors exactly?
|
The best thing would be to make, or have someone make for you, a banner or image file with your letters. Fonts used on websites are read according to the fonts installed on the viewers' computer. While almost all computers have the Symbol font installed, any fun Greek-letter fonts you find most likely won't be able to be seen by everyone--they'll show up as a default font. But images are seen usually almost exactly as they are created.

Okay, here is her web page:
http://hometown.aol.com/hautedream/firstpage.html I made these three choices...hehe and (of course) if you don't use them it's A-OK. I like just playing anyway! I'm not very good, but like I said, it's fun to play: Choice #1: http://www4.ncsu.edu/~cjmoore6/dzx1.jpg Choice #2: http://www4.ncsu.edu/~cjmoore6/dzx2.jpg Choice #3: http://www4.ncsu.edu/~cjmoore6/dzx3.jpg |
Hot damn, whitedaisy, nicely done! (And for the record my fav is #3.)
In the symbol font her letters should be DZX. Some of them are a little harder to guess -- phi, for example, is F, and chi is C. |
whitedaisey, that is fantastic!
I tried to check the link on it and froze the damn PC up! It must be nice to be young and do stuff like this! Oh well, in my little rehlm I do what I can and is limited!:o |

and whitedaisy...NICE work. I wish I had talent.:) |
WhiteDaisy, those are really nice. I would use all of them -- one per page of the website.:)
|
Not to get to far off of the subject: CT4, are you a in anyway related to CP30?:)
Not really having a clue to this cyber web stuff, I am scratching my head! When does something become something else? Well other than greek. X=Chi. Well along that line I mean! Yes I am an Maturer Male, not any jokes please! Thank You! |

What program do you use to make those? They're awesome! I am in charge of my chapters website and would love to add something like that to it.

I used PhotoShop 7.0! I could make more in different colors and stuff...but I just wanted to match the color on her main page.
Bye the way, the link to the images are: 1: http://www4.ncsu.edu/~cjmoore6/dzx1.jpg 2: http://www4.ncsu.edu/~cjmoore6/dzx2.jpg 3: http://www4.ncsu.edu/~cjmoore6/dzx3.jpg You can right click on the images and save them. If anyone wants me to make them one, let me know...it really only take 5 minutes or so...I just need to have the web page it's going on so I can get an exact color match. |
Looks like a good website.
Funny coincidence.... my high school was the Riverview Pirates and our colors were maroon and gold! |
That is so impressive White Daisy! Great job!
I have no idea how to do this stuff. I thought the sorority was Delta Xi Chi since the user name is HollisterDXiChi, but I guess I am confused. |
