I'm trying to call my friend and she uses Sprint.

But when I called her it said "the Sprint PCS phone number you are calling is temporarily unavailable"

What does that mean? Did she change her number? Forgot to pay the bill (which I doubt, since she is pretty loaded)? Or is something wrong with the service?

I tried again, same thing.

It probably means that she didn't pay her bill. The message for that is "temporarily disconnected" I think. Sounds the same to me.

Another possibility could be that she may be in the process of cancelling her phone or having the number changed.

Correct. That's the default msg people get when the call a Sprint customer who hasn't paid their bill.

But the last part of your msg could be a possibility also.

I called again and it said "the Sprint PCS phone number you are dialing is temporarily out of service"

so, that's the exact quote.

when i called one of my friends before i found out he changed his number that's the message he got. i was all confused until he called me later that night to tell me he had a new number.

Sprint has been having huge problems the past week. I believe it has to do with upgrading servers. I temporarily recieved poor reception, and no Vision access for days, and not being able to log into my account online. All seems to be doing better, now.

I tried calling a friend of mine and I got that same message. I later called him on his office phone and he told me that he paid his bill on time and that his phone shouldn't be turned off. He checked out his account and saw that there was nothing wrong. I think Sprint is having some problems with their service.

I had no service for an hour today on my sprint and their online account services are going REALLY slow. My sorority lil sis can't access her short mail.

I just tried to call her again........... still not working.

Well, I guess it was a problem with sprint.....I just called her one last time and it went through!

Yeah, then probably the f'up. I have Sprint and used my phone a lot today. No problems what so ever. No idea.

Sprint sucks! It works fine for us in DC, but the second we leave the city, it drops calls right and left. I get the "user unavailable" messages all the time whenever I call DH. The long and short of it is that Sprint sucks.
