Spring Break 2004
 

I know...it's January and I'm thinking about Spring Break! All this cold weather and snow talk has my group of friends discussing Spring Break. We're talking about heading down to South Beach. I'm excited cause this will be my first Spring Break and my first trip to Florida. I never got to go anywhere as an undergraduate, so I'm going this year. Better late then never! :)

So, where's everyone going this year?

as of right now, my best friend and i are looking to do something in europ....like a london, paris, rome thing. or a cruise of the greek island....

I am going to stay with my best friend in AZ

I can't go off to anywhere exotic (and expensive) this SB otherwise I won't be able to hit up Chicago this summer.

I'm hoping that Mauna Kea will still be snowing. If it is, I'm going to the Big Island for SB.

Be careful on South Beach!!! I live in Miami, so I'm allowed to warn you about this ;) The place scares the hell out of me, to be honest. But anyway, one of my good friends visited me over the summer, and he and his friends stayed at a pretty nice hotel on South Beach... and they got robbed. As in, someone broke into their room and took a lot of money. So I'd recommend staying at a nice, reputable hotel on the beach, or staying at a place near it but not in the middle of it all. Oh, and if at all possible, rent a car, cause otherwise you're going to waste a lot of money on cabs :)

HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO BE HERE????? How much fun would I have with you??!!!

I'm thinking of either Florida or Cancun.

Oh and to answer the Q- I'm going the only place I ever go, Cancun.


If anyone is interested in going with some of their friends or just want to know where to go, I'm really familiar with the area. I also know a few people that can hook you up with no cover/free drinks etc. if you're into going out :D Let me know.....

Thanks for the advice! We're either staying outside of South Beach or in Miami. Nothing is definate yet. :)

I'll probably be there a little over a week (depending on how much $$$ I can save up). Centennial convention runs from July 17-21, and they're giving us a free afternoon and night during that time, but I'm most definitely staying an extra day or two to shop and get drunk.

wow, are you all going to Florida? I guess I am too... oh wait, I'm already here. Spring Break tends to be very boring for me, with the exception of the MTV thing last year :rolleyes:
