Movie Question
 

OK I have a question about a movie. I watched this as a kid (which was the 1980s and early 1990s). It was about a guy that hires a housekeeper to help take care of his kids and she can squirt OJ, Milk, and Apple Juice out of her finger tips. My mom was thinking it's called "Ask Jeeves" but she wasn't sure. Maybe someone on here knows?

what a strange movie

No clue.......but does anyone remember the movie The Peanut Butter Solution? I found it a few years back on tape but my mom wouldn't buy it for me when I was home, so when I did get money to get it, of course it was gone and I have never found it since.

Never seen it myself :). I looked around, it has a soundtrack by Celine Dion and is indeed generally unavailable. Well, that is unless you're prepared to buy a used copy:Link.

ztawinthropgirl, it isn't called Ask Jeeves I can tell you that but I don't know what film it is but if I find out I shall post here. Can you remember any more details from it?

It's the Electric Grandmother!!!!

I loved this movie when I was little. The Electric Grandmother is delivered in a box and has some kind of electric glowing heart. The kids love her. At the end her batteries die or something and she has to go away. I cried and cried and cried.

OK - I just found the movie online...here...it was a TV movie.

To a family whose children are traumatized by the death of their mother, help comes in a most bizarre way. They receive three pieces, that when joined together, give a recording for an offer for an electric grandmother. They go to a bizarre factory, where they customize their new grandmother, and within a short time, she arrives. The android is equipped with everything needed as a parent and the boys are charmed. The daughter, however, still misses her mother and she bears no welcome for this interloper...

This movie is reminiscent of a short film I saw back in the day on Wonderworks.....it had Polly Holiday in it. I will go search for it now.

Ad for Electric Grandmother, I never saw or heard of that one.

I never knew that there was a movie version, but from this summary, I assume that it is based on the Ray Bradbury story of the same name (although I don't remember which collection it is from).
