Spring Recruitment!!!
 

So what are y'all planning for spring recruitment?
Are there any men or women considering rushing locals in the spring?
I'd love to hear from you!

Well, my sorority does our rush in the fall for the spring so we have 21 girls who are pledging. We start in about a week.

Spring rush should be quite interesting for us...seeing that we're "starting over". We just had some "not-so-stellar p.r" members go alumni. So far we think we have a shot of at least getting 4 pledges this semester (which is a good size class for Rio).

I think we're still having our open rush at a local bar (one of our alumni's dad owns it) and then for formal rush, well, that's still in talks.

We are doing our first rush ever so, fingers crossed we began talking to guys last semester during football and b-ball so we will see how it goes...

If we can get all these girls, it's going to be nice seeing that with alot of people graduating w/o pledges this semester we'd only have 3 actives! :eek:

We do formal recruitment wtih all of the other NPC and the NPHC sorority on campus. It starts the week that we get back from break! We have 21 actives now but 6 are graduating at the end of the year. I really hope we get at least 6 girls, because if we get at least 6, then I get a little, and I'm totally excited about that. I'm not even 100% positive that I'm getting one, and yet I already have stuff for her! Spring recruitment here is when all of the freshmen are allowed to come out so it's always a lot bigger so there's a good chance that we may get those 6 girls. My pledge class was 5 girls, the Spring class before it was my Big's which was 10 girls.

We're having recruitment pretty soon, actually. Our recruitment dates are Jan. 29th and 30th. Third part is Feb. 5th and Pref/Bid night is Feb. 6th. I'm SO excited! I have a few girls who want to rush so I can't wait! :D They're great girls, too! Anyway, good luck to all of the locals this semester!

Just an update, we had 12 girls come to Rush!! That's huge for Rio!! I'm thinking we'll have at least 7-8 girls that are definite pledges for Spring. That's more then the number of our actives, hehe
