The Assemblies of God had proposed to rename a street for Attorney General John Ashcroft.


SPRINGFIELD, Missouri (AP) -- The Assemblies of God headquarters withdrew its proposal to rename a street for Springfield native and church member Attorney General John Ashcroft after some residents criticized the request.
