My chapter finally updated their website!
|
Only Council and Cabinet offices are upper case. Collegiate and alumnae offices (including directors) are lower case. Three exceptions: vice-president: Panhellenic, vp: Foundation, and Webmaster. For proper titles and terms, please refer to http://www.deltagamma.org/delta_gamm...e_guide.shtml.
Of course, use common sense! If you have a director of ANCHORA/public relations, then you write the magazine title in all caps and italics...we may be doing some discussion on this issue...and "Web" is capitalized and "Web site" is two words. |
And don't forget the correct use of alumnae/alumni! Alumnae and alumni are Latin words, so they have different endings according to the male/female case. Male singular is "alumnus" and plural is "alumni." "Alumni" is also used if the group includes both men and women.
But "alumna" is the singular female version; "alumnae" is the plural. Delta Gamma has only female members; thus, we refer to our members as "alumnae." Thank you! Now stepping down from my soapbox... |
I didn't write the website ladies! LOL I graduated in 99. Maybe someone should email the webmaster of the site?

Ha, I made that graphic with the rose when I was the webmistress for my chapter's webpage. It looks nice though!
