Nelson, Garcia of the Yankees charged with assault and battery

BOSTON -- Jeff Nelson and Karim Garcia of the Yankees were charged Thursday with assault and battery for fighting with a groundskeeper in the Fenway Park bullpen during a playoff game against the Red Sox.


A clerk magistrate also found probable cause to go forward with Nelson's cross-complaint against Paul Williams, 24, a middle school teacher and part-time groundskeeper from Derry, N.H.


The fight took place during a raucous Game 3 of the AL championship series Oct. 11. Williams said he was attacked by Yankee reliever Nelson because he was cheering for the Red Sox in the Yankee bullpen.


But Nelson said during a hearing in Roxbury District Court last week that it was Williams who provoked the fight. Garcia later jumped over the outfield fence into the bullpen to join the fight.

Boston fans still have fun watching the Yanks lose to teams like the Marlins so its all good.

Yeah and we'll have our fun watching our team beat the Sox in extra innings and smile at footage of your fans crying in bars.

They suck because they can't accept losing too well and have to make it into the biggest drama. They suck because a Yankees fan in Boston would get hurt while in NY people would just make jokes to the Boston fan. They suck because they are so obsessed with NY that if someone mentions the state or anything within it, they go into attack mode and won't stop talking about the Yankees even if they don't like sports, it's in their blood. They suck because they constantly blame their losses on the fact that the Yankees have so much money even though other teams with less money have beat them.

Not all fans are like that. I think when Boston wins a World Series Boston fans would relax more instead because the Yanks fan taunting about a curse would end.

I doubt the pay roll will be an issue anymore if Boston happens to get A Rod because the payrolls would be the same and so would the talent levels too.

No the ones from Boston definitely are that bad. And no Yankee fans care about Boston is the thing. It's just that after having to listen to your bitching you just want to say "ha ha...maybe next year." We really don't care because our heads are so bloated that anything coming out of NY, whether is roaches or a baseball team, is the best of its kind.
